New York Personal Injury Lawyer Kenneth A. Wilhelm Reacts To Death Of Mexican American Singer Jenni Rivera

New York personal injury lawyer Kenneth A. Wilhelm talks about the tragic plane crash in Mexico that killed beloved singer Jenni Rivera. Officials are still investigating the cause of this accident, which also killed six others.

Jenni Rivera, the 43-year-old Mexican-American singer, was killed in a plane crash the evening of Dec. 9, 2012. According to a Dec. 14 Associated Press news report, the Mexican superstar's remains have been brought from Mexico to Long Beach, California. Rivera was perhaps the most successful female singer in grupero, which is a male-dominated regional singing style, and was given the name of "Diva del la Banda" by her fans, the report states. The plane carrying Rivera and six others nose-dived from 28,000 feet to the ground while flying from Monterrey in northern Mexico to the central city of Toluca, the AP report states. Officials are still investigating the crash.

"My thoughts and prayers are with Jenni Rivera's family, the families of the other deceased victims and the millions of people who loved her and her music," said New York personal injury lawyer Kenneth A. Wilhelm. "There are many unanswered questions at this point. I truly hope the family gets the answers they are seeking in this horrible tragedy."

Aviation accidents are extremely rare, but when they do occur, they can be absolutely devastating and catastrophic, Wilhelm said. "Aviation accidents may occur due to a variety of reasons". "Faulty parts, mechanical malfunction, pilot error, mistakes made by air traffic controllers - these are just a few common causes of aviation accidents."

Accident investigations in such cases can take several months, Wilhelm said. "It is important that victims and their families protect their rights by getting an experienced injury lawyer on their side, who will stay on top of the official investigation and look out for their best interests."
