Planning is underway for the 2014 Karaoke World Championship (KWC) World Finals, which will take place in the Solidaritet Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on November 13-15.

Just recently, the Finnish parent company, Karaoke World Championships Oy KWC Organization, Ltd., was acquired by KSF Entertainment Group, a multinational company built around technology and dedicated to Karaoke. KSF has produced the KWC World Finals finals since 2004.

More than 25 countries are expected to participate in the 2014 KWC World Finals. Each participating country will host a KWC National Finals which will identify one or two finalists, who will win an expense-paid trip to compete at the World Finals in Sweden. Fans and supporters worldwide will be able to watch the entire event through a live stream on the web. Negotiations are ongoing with both local and international television companies interested in broadcasting this year's World Finals, as well as with filming for an upcoming documentary. For full details and information about the KSF Entertainment Group or the Karaoke World Championship, you may visit KWC at www.karaokeworldchampionships.com and KSF at www.ksf.net.

KWC/KSF Entertainment Group recently announced that the KWC USA Country Partner contract has been granted to Cindy Bellelli and Brian "The Cowboy" Scott. Cindy was previously involved with KWC USA from 2009 through 2011 and Brian is a former 2009 KWC USA National Champion and he was a judge in the 2011 KWC World Finals in Ireland. Both Cindy and Brian were involved with the "Karaoke Battle USA" ABC television program. They have been contacted by a producer of a Karaoke documentary. Arrangements have been made for the producer and filming crew to interview singers for the documentary at the KWC USA Nationals Finals (location and date to be announced). A new KWC USA website has been launched at www.kwcusa.com. You can also "like" the KWC USA Facebook page at www.facebook.com/karaokeworldchampionshipsUSA

Do you or someone that you know want to host KWC USA local competitions? Each USA licensed venue will qualify one top male and one top female, who will advance directly to the KWC USA National Finals in September. Licensed venues may host competitions from now until the end of August 2014. Upon receipt of the online completed form and license fee, the venue will receive a venue packet via email with competition instructions and further hosting information. Each licensed venue will be listed on the "Find Venue Competitions" page until the start of the 2015 season (November 2014). Applications for KWC USA venues licenses are being accepted immediately. For further information about how to host competitions, rules and more, please visit www.kwcusa.com/host-competitions.html.

Singers can qualify for the USA National Finals by competing at KWC licensed venues. The competition is open to amateurs, who do NOT have a recording contract. Singers are judged on five categories: Voice sound quality; rhythm and tempo; vocal expression; stage presence; and entertainment value. Past competitors have had the opportunity to appear on TV shows such as "The Voice", "American Idol" and "Karaoke Battle USA."
