Michigan Travel In The News From One And Only

From the cherries in the north to the apples in the south, foodies are finding this year to be one worth spending time at in the Great Midwestern state of Michigan.

Michigan is growing in the world of travel today. As a popular destination for travelers seeking to avoid the fast pace of life in the city and get back to this country's roots, Michigan has always found ways to benefit from its local fares. From the cherries in the north to the apples in the south, foodies are finding this year to be one worth spending time at in the Great Midwestern state of Michigan.

Though most often festivals revolving around the foods from the area fall right around harvest time, this summer has been much warmer than normal and for that reason, many farmers in the Great Lakes are seeing apple harvests earlier than normal. This is not necessarily a bad thing however, it is just one more out of the ordinary occurrence in the Great Lakes fruit crops.

Despite bad harvests in many regions, the apple crops seem to have fared ok so far. Now is the time to start taking advantage of this and get out and explore the area festivities around this fantastic food source. If foodie travel is in the cards, check out the following festivals throughout the state of Michigan this late summer/fall.
