MD Advocacy Group Launches Voter Campaign for 2012 Presidential Election Season

The GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. kicks off its statewide 2012 Vote The Power!™ Campaign with new website and logo.

Aberdeen, Maryland,- Harford County based non-profit, GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. will launch its 2012 Vote The Power!™ Campaign on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The online voter campaign kick-off will launch the new website and logo. The campaign will also begin its volunteer drive. Our campaign slogan "A campaign to vote 360°" means to get involved, get registered, get educated about the issues and the candidates.

To vote 360° means to get others involved and to go out and vote on election day. The responsibility of the voter doesn't end on election day when the votes are tallied and the results are announced. We must remind our politicians of their campaign promises. We must make ourselves known to them, approach them and have one to one dialogue about our concerns. Vote The Power!™ is a non-partisan statewide initiative to educate and empower citizens in local communities to vote in Maryland. During this election season, politicians have their campaigns, Vote The Power™ is a campaign for the voters.

Our mission is two-fold:

1. To motivate local communities and communities of color to
increase voter registration and participation in
the political process.

2. To increase voter registration in the 18 to 40 year-old
population.

All of the efforts of the VOTE THE POWER!™ Campaign are non-partisan and are solely intended to motivate the voting population in the state of Maryland. We aim to instruct local communities of the importance of being registered when contacting their elected officials as well as the opportunity of being notified to serve as a juror.

Through the campaign season, we plan to conduct voter registration events in collaboration with other non-partisan campaigns. We will track voter trends through a strategic collaboration with local media outlets, and political analysts in Maryland. We will keep our audience abreast of the campaign through social media websites Facebook and Twitter. For more information, contact our campaign headquarters at: (410) 272-8346.
