Elk Grove, California October 14, 2009 - Northern California is recently becoming even more familiar with the name Luke Martin. He began touring in Mid-August, less than one year after the release of his debut album "7 Bullets".

Martin started playing music at age 10 after hearing the powerfully loud bellow of a trumpet at a school assembly. Taken by its mesmerizing sound, he joined the band immediately after. In junior high he was Awarded for his trumpet playing ability in the Jazz band. Martin competed with the Laguna Creek marching and symphonic bands from 1996-1997 and picked up the guitar, bass, and drums on the way.

As a dedicated Musician, Martin is set apart by his perfect yet subtle fusion of Jazz, Funk, and Latin music splashed over a canvas of Rock drums. His creative approach to Rock fusion involves keeping the listener guessing where his music will take them next. He provides what he belives to be two crucial elements of groove and melody in a format that keeps fans interested both musically and lyrically.

"One of the reasons I think I stand out is because I hear many artists out there who aren't songwriters, they're instrumentalists. They try to be different by writing music with complicated format that confuse the listener and then try to force lyrics on top of it," said Martin. As an artist with a firm grasp on music composition, Martin created his album "7 Bullets" in his home music studio. "This is just the beginning; I have dynamite material that is unreleased and "7 Bullets" was just a taste," said Martin.

This album is an achivement that shows Martin's work after overcoming many obstacles in life. He has grown throughout the difficult times, and has pushed forward with his music. The photographs on his album were taken by his grandfather Derald E. Martin who passed away in 2003.

"7 Bullets" is currently available on iTunes, Rhapsody, and other digital music distributors. For tourdates, and direct album purchase link visit the Luke Martin web site at http://www.lukemartinrecords.com
