Kilt-ic Christmas Party Raises Money For Student Scholarships

Aurora Hosts Annual Christmas Party At Fado in Buckhead to Raise Money and Awareness for Student Scholarships

When Aurora Day School hosts its annual Kilt-ic Christmas party on Friday, December 16th at Fado's Irish Pub and Restaurant, celebration will be in the air! Of course, the party is a top-notch Christmas bash with fabulous prizes (a Harley Davidson or $25,000 cash with the right roll of the dice, swag bags, door prizes and more), great food, and even an appearance by Irish lasses and that famous medieval patriot, Braveheart! But look beneath the surface and you'll find that Aurora has other reasons to celebrate.

The school hosts the Kilt-ic Christmas party to raise scholarship money for students at their nationally-recognized Tucker and Alpharetta campuses. The money raised provides scholarships for Aurora's neurologically-based, breakthrough strategies and systematic approach that allows for better, more prescriptive decisions to be made for successful learning processes for the gifted learner, the average learner or the individual with learning challenges. And that is another great reason to celebrate!
"The brain-based programs enable children to succeed, no matter what their learning type," says Kellie Huff, Aurora Day School Director. "Our programs make a difference and empower students to become individuals who want to learn, who know how to learn strategically, and who, in their own highly individual and flexible ways, are well prepared for a lifetime of learning and success."

Ms. Huff is an early-entry pioneer in brain-based education and accelerated learning. It was while working at Emory University where she specialized in Neurogenic Speech/Language and Cognitive Disorders that she first used intensive, neurologically-based treatment programs for stroke patients, patients with brain injuries and victims of Parkinson's disease, and discovered the potential for educating children with learning issues.

Today, that knowledge has been leveraged to help students of every learning type succeed.

So, while you may have many reasons to celebrate this holiday season, why not add one more by providing a scholarship for a child at Aurora Day School? It's easy to do! Just attend Aurora's Annual Kilt-ic Christmas party at Fado's at 273 Buckhead Avenue in Atlanta, and you'll be making a difference for students who want to succeed.
