Jazmin Whitley Hits Phoenix Fashion Week with a Show as Hot as The Desert

October 1-3, 2009 Phoenix Fashion Week celebrates its 5th anniversary. On Oct 1st Li Cari by Jazmin Whitley will be featured as Miss Whitley reveals her spring 2010 collection "Decade".

Phoenix Fashion Week's 5th anniversary event will be held at the famed hipster Mecca - Hotel Valley Ho.

"This collection was inspired by the new decade and what the future holds. I used bold colors because I feel it shows that we must take a stand for what we believe in. I used symmetric and clean lines to show the power of our decisions. This collection is strong and bold". Whitley proclaims.

While beauty, quality and comfort have been the hallmark of the Li Cari line, shoppers and buyers in our increasingly tight economy have also discovered the durability of the Li Cari garments. With each piece made in the United States the label ensures you it is being produced in safe and humane conditions. Li Cari is not only a label but a lifestyle and represents standing up for what you believe in. What Whitley believes in is simple, "If we buy American made products we will help our economy. If we buy American made product we help stop child labor". She believes Americans can make an enormous difference in the world of child labor. "Child labor is a pervasive problem throughout the world, especially in developing countries. Africa and Asia together account for over 90 percent of total child employment. Many of these children endure lives of pure deprivation. Every American should consider this when they make a purchase. Her commitment to keeping every step of her garment production within the United States is winning her praise, at a time when some companies are looking for cheaper, offshore options she challenges other American designers to do the same, make their product in the USA, to stop child labor and support the American economy.
Based in the fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States, Phoenix Fashion Week was established in 2005 with a mission to feature talented, established and emerging fashion designers from around the globe. PFW has been successful in its core goal and mission of bridging designers and buyers. 24 established designers, and 12 emerging designers will showcase prêt-a-porter, couture, denim and luxury sportswear collections. PFW will kick off with the Fashionably Pink opening gala highlighting an all pink celebrity fashion show and benefiting the Phoenix chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Set at the Hotel Valley Ho and brought to you by retail giant, Dillard's, each designer will feature an outfit inspired by the color pink to be walked down the runway by celebrities and cancer survivors a like. The fashionable garments will subsequently be auctioned and the proceeds donated to the local chapter.
