Improved Channel Shift Potential with New GOSS Software

Today sees the launch of GOSS iCM (intelligent Content Management) version 10, the latest upgrade to the market leading Web Content Management Solution built by GOSS Interactive.

With budgets under pressure and more demanding customers looking for better digital services delivery, the solution allows public and private sector organisations to drive efficiency savings into their business by managing website content and integrations more easily. Less than 60% of online transactions are able to be completed today, with another 20% being able to be partially completed and a further 20% that totally fail, equating to a £300M cost to the public sector when visitors to council websites have to go back to telephone to complete the transactions. The advanced integration and forms capabilities of GOSS iCM v10 are designed to significantly improve the ability for councils to deliver online transactions and so reduce these costs with the significantly lower budgets they have available.

Focus on content not technology
The new software focuses on making it even easier for organisations to manage their website content and functionality to facilitate effective Channel Shift and efficiency savings. Content Editors benefit from the latest best practice that delivers a slick, modern user interface for non-technical content creation and editing with superior web support and works on all modern browsers and tablets. This allows content editors to focus on the content and not the technology.

Dynamic forms
Website administrators can enhance web service delivery and engagement by designing dynamic forms with an improved drag/drop script editor for quickly moving form elements around. GOSS Form Expert, an integrated element of GOSS iCM, is already replacing expensive off-the-shelf forms software in many organisations. The enhanced functionality allows administrators to create intelligent forms that dynamically present information as customers complete them, creating a better user experience and improved service take-up. If after testing, areas for improvement are noted, these changes can be made quickly.

Integration and Single Customer View
Creating a Single Customer View (an holistic view of customer's data by an organisation and by the customer) has been made easier with access to the API server, allowing Developers to easily connect GOSS iCM to a huge range of web applications such as Google, Zapier and hundreds of SaaS tools. Such integrations will enable organisation to easily present to customers information about pending and past orders, service status and special offers.

Rob McCarthy, CEO at GOSS Interactive comments; "Ensuring that web teams have the best tools available is the cornerstone of good CMS design. This allows organisations to drive channel shift without technology constrains across the business, and deliver better service levels to their customers."
