TwentyNine Palms, CA- Icon Construction turns over a state of the art modular Child Development Center to The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC). The 15,000 square foot modular school was completed within nine weeks of the groundbreaking. "I just never thought we would see one up and running, while we were still stationed here. It's more than I expected. For what they told me, I expected this to be a temporary facility but this is amazing," said Alison Clardy, wife commanding General Stacy Clarity III.

Commandate James Amos made the new school a priority after his wife, Bonnie Amos, insisted the children on base needed playgrounds and an additional classrooms.. The Commandate and Commanding General teamed up to fast track this project for some 200 preschool age children at TwentyNine Palms. The school includes a full service kitchen, laundry, administrative and training facilities as well as two playgrounds. Icon Construction provided full turn-key services and oversaw this project from inception to completion, including design, site preparation, steps, decks, ramps, grading, excavating, concrete foundation, data com and fire alarms. "This should be the model for others in the future," said General Clardy. Children at MCAGCC will be in their news classroom as early as next week.
