Hunters of Camberwell Estate Agent Becomes Smart Inventory Client

Online, April 29, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The phones have been red hot recently due to the recently rebuilt, revamped and much improved website handled very competently by Codastar who also manage our SEO & PPC campaign.

We have also gained some quality new agents the latest being Hunters of Camberwell. We had covered a few last minute inventory and check out reports periodically but we we're not their main inventory company.

Their Lettings manager left and they needed a check out done on one of their properties. He looked for the original inventory check in report and discovered that we had done this some 18 months ago and called us to book in the check out.

Our clerk visited the property to collect the keys and conduct the check out and was horrified to see that the property had not been cleaned since they had moved in and there was so much rubbish and property left behind and a lot of damage caused.

Luckily we use a dictating machine to list all the issues and the report is typed by our trusty typists based in New Zealand. They return the transcription to us at 6am the following day for the clerk to upload the photos of the sorry scene and list comments such as 'clean and charge to tenant' remove charge to tenant.

There were a few cigarette burns to the carpets but still looked fairly reasonable so in this instance we applied our depreciation allowance formula. The bedroom carpet was 5 years old, you would expect it to last 10 years so the landlord has had half it's life. It cost £1000 new and as it is 5 years old it is now worth £500 that is what the tenant was charged The landlord really appreciated our clerks attention to detail and that all issues were deducted from the deposit so everything was put right for the new incoming tenant.
