The host will be responsible for any marketing and advertising of the event, supply the location, seating and refreshments. The proceeds from the event are the property of the host.

House Concerts have become a popular event in recent years as people open their homes to their friends and neighbors and invite musicians, some who tour a House Concert curcuit, to perform in their livingrooms or backyards. Often the host will offer the musician room and board for the night so that the musician can perform for the cost of donations. These concerts are private parties and not commercial ventures so there is no admission charged.

Jerry Strull is a guitarist, singer and songwriter who has been a sought after session player for recording and live shows. Like a lot of people of Baby Boomer age his family has been affected by Alzheimer's Disease and he sees the devastating effects the spread of the disease will have on the aging Boomer generation if left unstopped.

The winner was picked at random from email entries and was limited to locations within Los Angeles County. Concert date and time to be decided by the winner who was selected on July 4, 2013.
