Hometown Health Network Nearly Doubles in Last Year

The Hometown Health network has significantly increased the number of medical professionals who use this dynamic, hyper-local multimedia resource to reach existing and prospective patients.

Twenty on board, five to go. The Villages and Lake County, Florida area residents can now get valuable insight into Assisted Living care for seniors and pain management options with the recent addition of Waterman Village and Central Florida Pain Management to the Hometown Health network (http://www.yourhometownhealth.com).

With the addition of these two health and medical providers, the award winning video program is nearly at capacity for medical categories.

Locally produced Hometown Health offers news and insight from Lake County and The Villages area medical experts participating in this specialty-exclusive network of professionals. The program is updated monthly with new health and medical content, featuring the local professionals. In addition to the video programming, the content is available at YourHometownHealth.com.

When Hometown Health was launched in March 2009, company president Marc Robertz-Schwartz preset the maximum number of specialties at 25 in order to keep the program to an hour in order to maintain its commitment to quality while providing in-depth and helpful information to viewers.

"Our medical experts are able to share their expertise, passions and their commitment to the community through our programming," said Robertz-Schwartz. "That empowers their patients and prospective clients by giving them really good insight into the people who are providing health care in the area. There is no other hyper-local multimedia resource available to help consumers learn about health issues and providers who can help."

The Hometown Health network of medical professionals now includes 20 specialists and the program airs on 45 screens across Lake County and The Villages.

Participants in the Hometown Health network include Lake Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery Associates, the Pulmonary Group of Central Florida, Advanced Nursing Concepts, Alani Medical Spa, Veins Florida, All Coast Therapy, Lake County Oncology & Hematology, Florida Hospital Waterman Center for Medical Imaging, Florida Hospital Waterman Digital Mammography Services, Gulfcoast Spine Institute , Allergy, Sinus & Asthma Family Health Center, Tri County Podiatry, Ram Eye Care Center, Mesos Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center, Advanced Gastroenterology and Surgical Associates, Mr. Handyman, Waterman Village and Central Florida Pain Management.
