theTRIBE Productions is using its next show, the 1979 farce "Love, Sex, & the IRS," to raise awareness and money for The Farrah Fawcett Foundation. The show, playing Jan 7-30 at THE COMPLEX Theatre in Hollywood, will donate box office profits and collected patron contributions to the Foundation.

Established by Farrah before her untimely death in 2009, her Foundation provides funding for alternative methods of cancer research and support for cancer sufferers. "It is an honor," states director Christopher Chase, "to be directing a comedy that can have such a relevant connection to a good cause."

The connection he speaks of is Farrah herself, who is the inspiration for the play's female lead, Kate. "Kate is incredible; she's beautiful but tough as nails," Christopher explains. "When the play was being written in the late 70s, there was no stronger real-world example of such a woman as Farrah Fawcett. There's even a self defense scene with action straight out of Charlie's Angels."

Other aspects of Farrah will seen in the production, including her trademark hairstyle, recreations of her late 70s outfits, and her iconic swim suit poster. It is theTRIBE's hope that theatre-goers will, after laughing during the play, have Farrah on their minds as they are greeted by the cast with donation buckets. An announcement and program ad will also serve to inform the audience of how they can help.

To help, theTRIBE asks that you attend, and spread the word about, "Love, Sex, & the IRS" and give to The Farrah Fawcett Foundation.
