Greenhouse Project launches its new website
A primary information resource about Shanghai's cultural landscape
Online, November 11, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Shanghai, November 11, 2009
Greenhouse Project Design Studio's new website (www.greenhouseproject.com) is conceived as a showcase and catalyzer of different cultural initiatives that take place in Shanghai and beyond. The news and deep reports, backed up with abundant audiovisual material, are focused on artistic works developed in the Asian metropolis, but there is also space for interesting projects from all around the world.
The first "issue" talks about diverse subjects, marking from the beginning its intention to touch a wide range of artistic manifestations. Diana Freundl, art curator with a long experience in Asia, looks over the Chinese market and her professional task in an interview. GHP also approaches Jutta Friedrichs' design work, composed by wooden furniture with a clear organic tilt. The cinema has a double-entry: John Pirozzi presents his new documentary about the rock scene in Cambodia before the Khmer Rouge revolution, "Don't think I have forgotten"; and in the section "Cold Hunter" we rediscover "Diferente" (Different), a Spanish film that in 1962 avoided censorship to sing a hymn to homosexuality. Finally, GHP offers a visual review of the Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair 2009.
Global design
GHP's new website bets on blending information and entertainment, surpassing the concept of a company's web as a mere commercial display. Greenhouse Project is a design studio that renders comprehensive services of communication, graphic design, events organization, editorial design, art direction, interactive installations, audiovisual production and interior design. The company has offices in Madrid and Shanghai, and a team of professionals experienced in developing projects with clients such as Nokia, Vodafone, Nike, Telefonica, ARCO or the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao, among others.
