Greater Raleigh Citipass Changes Name to 'GoPlaySave'

GoPlaySave Adds Mobile Capabilities for its Consumers for a More Accessible and Convenient Process

Greater Raleigh Citipass, a local savings book supporting Triangle-area schools, announced today that it has changed its company name to GoPlaySave. The new name better reflects the business's service offerings as a distributor of the best savings on food, entertainment and fun throughout the Triangle.

GoPlaySave books are provided to schools and other fundraising organizations on consignment and include great offers from a variety of area merchants. GoPlaySave has continued to increase production from 10,000 books to 55,000 books for Raleigh and 10,000 books for Chapel Hill-Durham in 2012. The book offers 320 different merchants with $9,500 worth of coupon savings.

GoPlaySave will remain locally owned by the same owners, Holly and Ryan Armstrong and business will remain headquartered in the Triangle-area where they have been active now for eight years. The new name change will allow the business to begin expanding outside of North Carolina. However, GoPlaySave will still continue personalizing their books at a local level.
"Our new company name reflects GoPlaySave's dedication to offering our consumers savings at the most-wanted places in the Triangle-area," said Holly Armstrong, GoPlaySave's owner. "We believe that the name is more of a call-to-action and better expresses all we have to offer."

Starting this year in 2012, GoPlaySave will begin incorporating mobile capabilities, making the coupon redeeming processes more accessible and convenient for the customer. This will allow those who buy the book to also go completely mobile by showing merchants their coupons right on their mobile device, making the process easier than ever.

The mobile app also allows users to search for the closest deals around them and since the coupons are always readily available on your phone, users won't have to worry about locating the book while they're on the go. The app is also beneficial for the merchants, making it easier for them to track how many coupons have been redeemed. Merchants will also have the ability to post additional deals throughout the year that will be on the smartphone.

The changes are effective immediately, and all future business activity will be undertaken with the new name.
