Fremont College Announces 2013 Commencement Speaker, Dexanne Clohan, MD

23-year healthcare industry veteran to share inspirational insights with Class of 2013 graduates.

Celebrating its 27th annual graduating class, Fremont College is proud to announce HealthSouth Chief Medical Officer DexanneClohan, MD, as its 2013 commencement speaker. The ceremony, honoring the Class of 2013, will be held at 12:00 pm on June 1 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, located at 743 S. Lucerne Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Recognized by Modern HealthCare magazine three times as one of the "50 Most Powerful Physician Executives in America", Dr. Clohan's prolific career has spanned 23 years at nationally recognized companies like Aetna as well as the United States Senate and the American Medical Association. Today, she serves as chief medical officer for HealthSouth, the largest rehabilitation hospital operator in the U.S. with 100 hospitals in 27 states and Puerto Rico. Clohan also currently serves on the Evidence Based Practice Committee of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.Dr. Clohan observed, "The pace of change in all career fields, especially healthcare, means there are plenty of exciting challenges waiting to be tackled by well prepared new graduates. I'm looking forward to sharing a special day with the Fremont College graduates who will contribute fresh talent, ideas and energy to our communities in their new careers."
