Noted Family Lawyer and Author Jeffery Leving will join the impressive list of dignitaries, celebrities, entertainers, and elected officials in celebrating one of the largest parades in the country this Saturday, August 11th at Martin Luther King Dr. & 39th ST., and steps off at 10AM.

The theme of this year's procession is "Education: Built to Last; A Tribute to President Barack Obama," and will be grand marshaled by Obama deputy assistant Michael Strautmanis. Leving is a Futuro Fund member and an Obama Presidential Partner.

"It is a great honor to support the Bud Billiken Day Parade which was begun by the newspaper's founder, Robert S. Abbott back in 1929. The parade has developed into a premier "back-to-school" event and is a tribute to Mr. Abbott's commitment to education and community involvement," said Leving (http://dadsrights.com).

Having traveled to China and worked with law firms in Beijing and Shanghai, Leving mentions that a "Billiken" is a legendary mythological character and a symbol of good luck to the Chinese and is considered a guardian angel of children.

One of the longest running parades in Chicago, the Bud Billiken Parade attracts hundreds of thousands of people along its route.
