Failsafe Payments Adds Free 3-D Secure to CertoDirect

Online, December 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Failsafe Payments, an international online billing company based in Cyprus, has introduced the free 3-D Secure protocol to the CertoDirect platform as an anti-fraud solution. 3-D Secure is available for free for all Failsafe Payments clients who apply for either a direct or sponsored merchant accounts with the
company.

The 3-D Secure protocol has been developed by Visa, MasterCard and JCBs in order to enhance the authorization process while a customer completes the payment. This protocol is aimed at minimizing the merchant's risks and the rate of chargebacks by shifting the responsibility from an online merchant to the card-issuing bank, which gets involved into the credit card authorization by requiring from a customer to enter a secret password. This anti-fraud tool is distributed for free among the Failsafe Payments clients as a part of their online payment processing packages.

Taking up an integrated approach to providing online payment services, Failsafe Payments offers a whole number of fraud-preventive tools from third-party providers, like MaxMind, iovation and Retails Decisions. According to the company's pricing policy, many of these anti-fraud solutions are provided
for free if integrated into other Failsafe Payment services (e.g. opening merchant accounts and payment processing via the CertoPay platform), and are subject to special pricing terms, which are found on the Failsafe Payments website.
