December 28, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Excitor has signed a distributor agreement with Lime Technology to sell Excitor's mobility solution, DME in Spain and Portugal. The partnership with Lime Technology is a natural step in Excitor's expansion strategy.
Wilbert Zapata, Business Director of Lime Technology comments on the partnership: "Mobile working that, in its different flavors (teleworking, home working, campus) allows companies to increase productivity, reduce response times and be close to their customers, has become very popular in the past year and therefore, demand for mobile device management solutions has increased significantly. However, this demand has been impacted by the difficult economy times we are in - especially in Spain - extending this requirement to a new field: Cost control and cost management."
Zapata continues: "After months evaluating different solutions we chose DME as it is a proven, robust mobile device management and security solution. As a European-based company, DME addresses our particular mobility challenges including wide language support, dense quantity of mobile operators and a broad European mobile phones support. Besides the core device management facilities and OMA DM support, DME offers critical applications like mobile e-mail, calendar, global address book, file synchronization, high level encryption, etc. Finally, DME has some key differentiators that are in high demand in times where every organization is looking at low initial investments and total cost of ownership. DME's data and voice traffic insight along with different operators and cost reducing facilities provide exactly the value add we would like to provide to our Channel and Customers."
"Excitor is pleased to have signed the distributor agreement as Lime Technology has many good connections with leading system integrators, which are prime candidates for selling and implementing DME at enterprise customers. We look forward to reaping the benefits of this alliance and give Lime Technology the opportunity too expand their offerings with our DME Mobile Device Management and Mobile Cost Management solutions. DME will give the Spanish and Portuguese market a cost effective alternative to BlackBerry," says Excitor COO, Mads Skalbo.
