In an effort to bring difference in the lives of customers, SAMIL keeps no stones unturned in extending welfare services. Education Scholarship Program has been lately initiated by Shriram Automall India Limited, to spread the light of education to the ignorant children of the truck drivers, commercial vehicle owners and those who are below the privileged ranks. To strengthen the bond with our much-valued customers, it becomes an increasing responsibility to consider the betterment of their respective families as well. Accordingly, by introducing the scholarship program SAMIL hopes to preach the essence of literacy and importance of education as a mandate to flourish in life.
As Mr. Sameer Malhotra, the CEO rightly mentions, "It has been observed that children after 8th standard lack inspiration and many households show inability to continue with the ward's education. SAMIL wishes to bridge this gap by providing scholarships and inspire the kids to take their scopes of education to the next level."
With an aim to execute distribution of scholarship cheques at regular intervals at Automalls and branches across 100 locations, the initiation of the same rolled out a massive response. Scholarship cheques have already been distributed at Shriram Automall's Hyderabad, Panvel and Chennai location recently, on the day of the physical bidding events.
Customers and their families were absolutely elated to have received the aid of encouragement for their wards. While the children of the drivers were happy for the opportunity provided to continue with their education, the parents were grateful to the authority. For most of them, it was a mixed feeling of gratitude and excitement, all the more so because the monetary support was a dream-come-true for the parents, who were otherwise incapable of contributing toward their kids' future education, despite the will.
SAMIL's new initiative is meant to extend support towards expenses of the child for pursuing education without any disruption from 8th standard to 12th standard. The amount per child is Rs. 3000/- per year till class 10 and an increase to 3500/- there on till class 12.
SAMIL's endeavour to promote the values and services by directly interacting with people in public places has always drawn wholesome response from interested and receptive customers.
