Completing the Jigsaw with the Legendary Wine Magician Stephane Derenoncourt Maison Bouey launches « Les Parcelles de Stephane Derenoncourt » in Asia

Described as " Unquestionably, one of the rising stars from Bordeaux among international winemakers" by The Financial Times, Stephane Derenoncourt expresses his viticultural talent and skilled winemaking craftsmanship along with Maison Bouey's cutting edge wine producing technology in their latest collaboration: "Les Parcelles de Stephane Derenoncourt". Following the prestigious Parcel Selection Method, where wines produced from 6 outstanding plots in Bordeaux are blended carefully like completing a puzzle, resulting in very sensual and elegant wines that reflect their own origin. This collection of 6 wines from 3 distinct ranges is highly appreciated by both connoisseurs and casual consumers as the 2010 Vintage Bordeaux were all sold out soon after being released in France. With great demand from fans around the world, the "Les Parcelles" wines will continue to be a success with its launching in the Asian region.

A Chemistry between Two Rising Stars
Wine prodigy Stephane Derenoncourt has built up an impressive reputation among international wine critics in less than a decade. Out of the 19 Bordeaux wines from the 2009 vintage that has received full score by leading wine critic Robert Parker, 4 of them were the masterpieces of Stephane Derenoncourt. In a dinner with Maison Bouey's classy CEO Patrick Bouey two years ago, both long time pals and wine enthusiasts spilled out their vision in introducing the Parcel Selection Method that was only used to create highest-ranking wines to a mass production of wines made accessible for all. Wine lovers can finally get a taste of this outstanding selection of six exquisitely balanced wines after 16 months of wine making.

A Symphonic Collection Full of Character, Reflecting Terroir
In creating a highly accessible collection of wine with great balance and personality, Maison Bouey innovatively applies the Parcel Selection Method on specially chosen and tended plots in six Bourdeaux appellations, away from any historical vineyard limits. Small parcels of micro-vineyards are mapped and treated individually at every stage in order to retain the stamp of the distinctive Bordeaux terroirs in the grapes. Just like pieces of puzzle, wine that has finished ageing is blended with wines from other plots in the same appellation, revealing the optimum synergy created between different grape varieties, soil and sun exposure. Stephane Derenoncourt points out that, "Our methods are traditional. They are slow and gentle, so as to reflect all the goodness and elegance of ripe fruit in the glass."

All Sold Out after the 2010 Vintage Released in France
Being ambassadors for their respective terroirs, the "Les Parcelles" collection have proved to be a tremendous success after launching in Europe and North America. All 130 000 bottles from the 2010 vintage Bordeaux were sold out in early February this year. With Maison Bouey's flexibility and technology, they can adjust the wine production volume to the high demand. The volume of the 2011 vintage collection has increased to approximately 360 000 bottles and is expected to be sold out by the time when the 2012 vintage collection debuts. Both connoisseurs and casual consumers will definitely find the beautiful aromatic complexity of the "Les Parcelles" wines irresistible.
