Chinese Traders Win Russian Forex Championship - Prizes Go to Russians

For 8 weeks, hundreds of Forex traders competed for the prize money provided by FXOpen in the framework of the Russian Forex Championship. The great tournament was held from October 7th till November 29th, 2013 and traders worldwide followed the even

The Championship outcome was a total surprise. The best results in the competition were given by the Chinese traders who took the top three places. Traders from other regions were admitted in the contest as an experiment.

"We've settled upon the open format of the Championship to make it more intriguing. We also hoped for the Russian traders to demonstrate their professionalism in tough competition," commented Denis Peganov, Director of FXOpen NZ Limited and Chairman of the Championship organizing committee. "No one expected the Russian contestants to concede to the Chinese traders who have clearly proven their superiority."

According to the rules of the Championship, the Chinese traders cannot get the main prizes as they are not the residents of Russia. Even though they are the real, deserving winners of the tournament, they can only get financial bonuses for their profitable trading.

Naturally, the Chinese traders were outraged and demanded reconsideration of the results. However, the rules of the competition stand. Apart from the bonuses, the only consolation for the participants from China is the upcoming Chinese Forex Championship. It is expected to be held at ForexCup.com in the near future. It is still unclear whether Forex traders from other regions will be admitted to this contest.
