Chapter Sequences In Final Year Projects

Final year projects is an essential part in student's education career. Because it determines his or her practical and theoretical knowledge power. And helps to increase the internal scores.

When thought of university final year, one would definitely be bothered about final year projects more than the fun in farewell parties and departing sadness. That is quite obvious because of the tiring preparation required for the work. The very first aspect to be noted in case of such final year projects is that the candidate should compulsorily follow the approved standards in writing reports and scientific papers.
Below is the approved format for any technical university final year project:

• Abstract
• Introduction
• Materials and methods
• Results
• Discussions
• Bibliography

For getting the final year projects approved, one should involve themselves into deep research in the project and take immense care in writing the report.

Abstract:
The first two parts of final year projects- abstract and introduction are the ones which will help in grabbing the attention of reader. This should be interesting enough to influence the reader's mind and tempt him/her to read further. The gist of the entire project should be explained in these areas.

Materials and methods:
In any final year project, the candidate will take up experiments, perform researches and analyze the project theme. Finally, the results will be noted down. All these stages of experimentation and analysis should be explained under materials and methods. The sequence of procedures that were followed in the project and the various stages of experiment are also to be explained here.

Results:
Next to materials and methods is the results chapter. As the name indicates, here, one will have to explain the discoveries that were made during experimentations and analysis done for the final year project. These results should be very strongly delivered so that it brings a considerable change. For explaining it in such a strong way, graphs, tabulations, diagrammatic representations, charts, etc can be used. Under each one of these, explanations should be given on what the representation delivers.

Discussions:
To bring an interest and temptation, few questions and doubts will be mentioned in the introduction part. These queries should be answered here - under discussions. It is to be noted that the explanation is made very simple and easily understandable. This chapter should prove the project right. It should give a justification for the entire final year project. The candidates can also compare their work with similar works done by others previously.

Bibliography:
This is where the candidate should mention about the referencing done for final year project. Each one of the information source, references made, etc should be explained in a standard format for citation. In case of any book references, the book author name, publisher name, name of the book, etc should be definitely mentioned.
