The Cayman Islands has just received 156 certificates of excellence from Trip Advisor which were awarded to an array of businesses, from restaurants to water sports excursions, hotels and several other attractions across the three islands.

Trip Advisor is as much of a household name as YouTube and Google, and it's the site that countless prospective travelers search prior to their vacation as this is the one place where they can find over 100 million honest reviews from those who have been there. Trip Advisor also hands out sought after and much needed awards of excellence to businesses based on their ratings that need to retain an average of 4 stars or higher in order to receive the award.

Stingray City in Grand Cayman remains the top attraction, and how it could not be, given that there are around 100 friendly stingrays cavorting with visitors in azure blue, calm and clear water shallow enough to stand up in. World famous Seven Mile Beach is obviously a huge favourite and so is the wreck of the Kittiwake which is a historic adventure for both snorkelers and divers. Horse riding tours as well as the relatively unknown Davinoff's Concrete Sculpture Garden was also featured in the awards.

Now as you read this, does it make you want to come and see Cayman? Or if you have already been here and experienced the wonder of these three islands, do these awards make you want to come back and visit again?

Does reading about these awards make you wonder what it would be like to live here in Cayman?

If your curiosity is tweaked even the slightest bit, then you need to look in to ticket prices once you have read this blog, because Cayman has so much more to offer than you could ever think possible. Here are just some facts for you:

The Cayman Islands are made up of 3 islands, with Grand Cayman being the largest and George Town being the capital, nestles just 400 miles south or a one hour flight from Miami.

With international flights from other gateway cities like New York, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, Charlotte NC, Tampa, Orlando Toronto and Heathrow it's easy to get to and from Cayman without the hassle, stress and delays of multiple flights.

When it comes to Caribbean lifestyle, Cayman always comes out on top thanks to a safe, secure and comparatively crime free environment.

We could carry on about what feels like an infinite choice of highly rated restaurants, cafes and bars, but we won't. Suffice to say that Cayman is on the map of the annual Cayman Cookout where celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert host a weeklong event that's always sold out.

As for activities, we dare you to run out of options; swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, botany, helicopter flights, rock climbing, birding, kite surfing, wind surfing, sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, meeting indigenous iguanas, arts and culture and so much more.

As the 5th largest offshore financial centre and with 67% of the GDP contributed by the financial services, Cayman has a lot to offer in terms of employment opportunities within the financial or corporate service sector.

Thanks to Cayman's status as an offshore financial centre you can rest assured that quality of infrastructure is extremely high, you can expect highly rated private schools, professional medical services, well kept roads and neighbourhoods and this all brings us to the subject of real estate….

On the three islands of approximately 50 000 people there is an abundance in choice of real estate. From condos to homes to commercial property, from water front to canal front to beach front or from ocean view to canal view.
