Position Overview

The Campaign Manager’s primary responsibility is managing the production for the Media Advantage Program clients at Newswire, reporting directly to the Media and Marketing Strategist as the account manager. The Campaign Manager executes the campaigns within Newswire’s platforms based on the direction and strategy developed by the Media and Marketing Strategist with the client.

  • New client Newswire platform set up - add credits, media room, media alerts, company information and Logos
  • Support the execution, monitoring and measurement of public relations and marketing campaigns
  • Creates targeted marketing lists for each of the client’s target audiences
  • Create and maintain a list of media contacts in print, broadcast and online outlets for each of the client’s target media audiences
  • Develop Writing orders for client press releases, directing editorial and writing teams through press release production
  • Submits finalized press releases for distribution
  • Set up and scheduling of targeted media email programs
  • Set up and scheduling of targeted marketing programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including account managers, sales, marketing, editorial and executive team.
  • Monitor media coverage, research industry trends and stay up-to-date on current events.
  • Monitor, report and evaluate campaign performance and adjust as necessary
  • Prepare performance reports and analyses for clients based on key initiatives.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related
  • 1-2 years’ experience in public relations or related integrated marketing agency
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Experience in an agency environment is a plus
  • Experience managing production, content, projects is a plus
  • Experience writing press releases and editorial content is a plus
  • Media relations experience
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines
  • Experience with project management software
  • Experience with data management, campaign analytics and performance insights
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals
  • Ability to execute campaigns for multiple accounts, serving as a project manager
  • Self starter with strong problem solving skills

Detailed

  • Liaise with Media and Marketing Guided Tour Team - The Campaign Manager will facilitate the campaign strategy for the Media Advantage Platform team, including researching media outlets & contacts, preparing & distributing press releases, setting up media alerts & media rooms and analyzing & reporting on campaign data.
  • Analyze Data - In order to gain a clear overview of the customer’s account, Campaign Managers analyze a multitude of data, such as vision, go to market strategy, whole product and project budgets. From this data, they can create and implement an action plan, once they’ve gained the client’s agreement.
  • Build Campaigns - A key aspect of the Campaign Manager’s role is build processes and productivity within teams for better and more efficient execution of tasks and projects. The Campaign Manager supports many different projects to ensure cohesion between project teams and to make sure that projects meet the initial brief from the client.
  • Identify Campaign Optimizations & Opportunities - The Campaign Manager finds opportunities to improve campaign performance by research media coverage and trends, analyzing past performance and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare Reports on Project Performance - The Campaign Manager prepares reports on customer projects to identify achievements and goals met as well as to highlight any areas for improvement going forward.
  • Applying Knowledge of Media and Marketing Strategies - Develop PR plans alongside a team. Utilize media savvy with print and broadcast mediums. Effectively influence decision-makers to promote their brand with an understanding of how broadcast media and its various audiences work.
