Business Development Representative

Newswire is looking for Business Development Reps looking to jumpstart a career in sales. The function of this role is outbound prospecting to mid-large market accounts in an assigned territory. The BDR will support the sales team to uncover new business opportunities and will be compensated based on new qualified meetings set on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This position requires a true hunter mentality with the ability to manage and work a dedicated territory to uncover new business opportunities that align with Newswire products and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct prospecting to new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Setting qualified meetings for Senior Sales Representatives
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and decision makers who do not show a current interest in Newswire products, but may need our solutions in the future.
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly meeting goals within an assigned territory.
  • Become an expert on Newswire messaging, technology, competitive differentiators and overall value proposition.


  • 1-2 years sales experience, professional level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using is a plus
  • Experience selling or demonstrating software is a plus
  • Communications, public relations, agency or journalism background is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
