BMW R1100R Conversion by Hornig

The company Hornig proved in an impressive way that you can create a fascinating bike in a short time and with limited budget.

In time for the start of the motorcycle season Motorcycle Accessory Hornig presents an unusual conversion:

The Hornig Team wanted to create a cool Scrambler from a used R1100R. The intention was how you can manage this with reasonable money-and time effort. By bringing the second hand R1100R that cost 2.500,00 euros, almost to the basic state, they put the base for the conversion. For a first optical change, an aluminum fender with LED rear light was mounted. Further modifications were done to the speedometer and headlight unit that was revalued by the stainless steel holder and chrome speedometer. Thanks to the high number of modern and well-made cover parts it is hard to believe that you stand in front of an eight year old bike with 70.000 km. Of course the blue tank catches your eye first, which shines in beautiful blue metallic. Also the new seat with brown leather fits harmoniously into the conversion. The exhaust with cable-damper control delivers the right sound. A real scrambler needs spoke rims with lugged tires, too. "If you invest some time here, you can save a lot of money with used rims", says Tobias Hornig and completes: "If you want it a bit faster you can use the original BMW spoke rims."

The company Hornig proved in an impressive way that you can create a fascinating bike in a short time and with limited budget. So the complete conversion, with organization, only took 35 hours.
