Beauty College Avalon School of Cosmetology Introduces $1000 Scholarship for US Students

Avalon School of Cosmetology is providing financial assistance for a student entering a US college or university in the fall who exemplifies academic excellence and an understanding of the beauty industry.

In an effort to support students who are committed to higher education in the US, acclaimed beauty college Avalon School of Cosmetology is offering a $1000 scholarship award. The financial assistance will be awarded to a student entering a US college or university in the fall who exemplifies academic excellence and an understanding of the beauty industry.

Brandon Pobiak, owner of Avalon School of Cosmetology, attributes his own education to his success, and understands how the power of academic opportunity can contribute to the success of America's future. He believes a financial award can help provide a boost to a student that has a variety of expenses associated with post-secondary education in addition to tuition, such as course materials and supplies. For many students, accommodation, transportation and food expenses need to be factored in to their budget.

As part of the application process, students must write a brief essay that explores how graduates of beauty schools require business and marketing skills in addition to their technical skills in order to be successful entrepreneurs in the industry. Instead of submitting a hard copy of the writing, applicants are required to post it online on a website, blog or forum. Through this process, the beauty school can select a recipient based on his or her writing skills, as well as on his or her ability to reflect on the beauty industry.

United States students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university this fall or next spring can visit Avalon's scholarship page to learn more details, as well as download the application.
