Bagpatch Travel Accessory Selected By Walmart's Get On The Shelf Contest!

The practical luggage labels provide peace of mind to travelers by making luggage identification fun and easy. BAGPATCH invites the public to view and vote for the product.

BAGPATCH has made it past the first stage of Walmart's Get on the Shelf contest running from July 1, 2013 to November 30, 2013. The product along with others was chosen among thousands of entries from 50 states across the U.S. and its territories.

BAGPATCH colorful fabric labels help travelers identify their luggage in a sea of similar looking bags. The oversized labels, with their whimsical expressions, reduce the risk of losing your luggage when traveling.

To make it into the next stage, BAGPATCH invites the public to view and vote for the product at https://getontheshelf.walmart.com/product/1f72/BAGPATCH. A person can vote once per day and multiple times until September 2, 2013.

Brenda Noah, founder of BAGPATCH, was delighted to make it into the second stage of the Get on the Shelf contest. She said "We are selling the product in Amazon and getting 5-star reviews. The fact that Walmart considered BAGPATCH speaks to the usefulness and marketability of the product".

Entrepreneurs, inventors and businesses owners were encouraged to participate in July by uploading to YouTube a video featuring their product. Winners will have the opportunity to sell his or her product on www.walmart.com.

The BAGPATCH entry and others were screened for the product's commercial appeal, probability of sale and innovativeness. The public can show support for their favorite product by voting online.

Voting is an important factor in the contest. Joel Anderson, President of CEO of Walmart.com said, "Get on the Shelf taps into the spirit of American innovation and gives our customers a voice in selecting the products that will help them live better."

A panel of qualified judges will select 20 finalists taking into account the total number of votes. The vote counts gives judges an idea of the product's popularity and commercial viability. Ultimately five winning products will be chosen to be sold on www.walmart.com. And the Grand Prize winner will have the opportunity to appear on select Walmart stores.
