Australian Sensation Aria Signs For 50/50/Konlive

Aria one of the freshest new talents emerging from Australia in the music industry and having signed to 50/50/Konlive records this is just the beginning for this girl down under!!!

Having been brought up in a family of musicians, Aria developed an early interest in music with her dad being one of Australia's finest guitarists and her mum, a piano teacher who started teaching Aria around the ago of 5 much to her disgust. Still not developing much of an interest in playing someone else's music Aria just wanted to learn chords so she could write songs and make up her own music tracks! When she was 12 she taught herself how to play the guitar following in her father's footsteps as she always wanted to learn guitar, but guitar was deemed to be 'a boys thing.'

Growing up Aria was a huge John Mayer fan! She set out to learn every song on guitar before she even knew how to play chords displaying her determination and willingness to succeed. Having always wanted to be the female version of John Mayer, all she seemed to do through high school was write songs... and there were a lot of songs!!! Aria started off in the popular group then ditched it for recess and lunch time in the music room, just her and her new best friend, her guitar. Aria felt like she had a lot to say to the world but was never one to be able to stand up and say it so it seemed to all come out through music and in her songs. She didn't tell or show many people for years due to her being afraid of them telling her they were no good so she kept it secret, and it was just something that was never meant to leave my room but deep down i wanted to do it so bad.

When high school finished Aria tried to forget about music for a while and became a insurance broker but this all changed when she got an email from Reverbnation about an international song writing competition. There were 4 judges one of which was John Mayer!!! The next thing she knew she had sent in a song she wrote years ago called 'Did I' and received an email back saying one of the judges had made a special note and she was a top 5 finalist and won an award for new and upcoming artist. Although she didn't win the main prize this was the lighting stick to rekindle her love of writing music and this time she wasn't ready to let it go.

In 2011 Aria was introduced to a producer called Van G who was looking for a female vocalist and songwriter. He was pretty impressed with her acoustic songs she had wrote many years ago and ended up turning a song called 'In Too Deep' into a house track. This got Aria's attention and immediately knew she wanted to write more club, house, electronic stuff! In 2012, Aria made the decision that music was the only way forward and nothing would hold her back. In January a producer called Sebastian Morxx got in touch and the next thing she knew she had a song out called 'Gravity'. Following on from 'Gravity,' trance producers Dusk Til Dawn (Doan Kaya and Ersin Selvi) got in contact and Aria wrote 2 songs with them 'We are One' and 'Calypso'. 'Calypso' ended up being the first song either of them ever got signed to a label, Soho Blue.

Aria was in demand from then and has worked with the very best producers in Australia including, Chardy, Nick Coleman, Kalus, John Course, Angger Dimas, Tygris, Choobs, Feliciano Moody and a host of others. In August a guy heard "Gravity" and said he was a manager, although by this time Aria had a few people wanting to be her manager but she thought this was the right one for her. He must have shown Qwes Kross of 50/50 Konlive a youtube clip of her performing on her guitar in the studio with Dusk Til Dawn, playing a song she wrote when she was 12!!! By this stage Qwes Kross must of liked what he had seen as Aria soon received a whole bunch of music and a contract and are currently working on a track together called 'In2u.'

"I'm just wrapped with the chance to be able to create and bring out the songs that are such a big part of who I am. I live and breath music, without it i wouldn't exist. If I can get to this point kicking and screaming then nothings gonna stop me now, and I cant wait to show you all what is to come" :)
