Assured Assisted Living Overhaul Their Operations to Raise Service Quality to People with Dementia Disorders

Assured Assisted Living overhauls its operations to raise the service quality to highest levels for residents with dementia related disorders. All the seven homes of Assured Assisted Living have undergone major changes to provide high class assisted

Assured Assisted Living, Colorado, announced that it had undertaken a complete overhaul of its operations in all the seven homes in Colorado to raise the level of its service to elders afflicted by dementia disorders to peak quality. Assured Assisted Living pointed out that it had been running five homes in Castle Rock and two homes in Parker in the state of Colorado.

Assured Assisted Living has recruited additional trained staff so that the staff to residents' ratio is far superior to that of the other assisted living homes in Colorado at 1:4. The specialist staff members of these homes extend 24-hour supervision with complete care and compassion to all the residents. All the homes have been refurbished to enhance the intimate and personal home feeling for the elders with individualized care assistance. Highest attention is being extended to participation and support of the families of the residents.

The security and environment of all the homes has been enhanced to give complete protection to the seniors with memory impairment disorders, who can become easily confused. The social interaction between the members has been increased with more activity-based programs. Ms. Sheryl Thompson, owner and R.N. administrator, has stepped up the assessment of the residents. She has initiated a process by which the residents are graded according to their level of dementia. Persons with similar levels are organized in groups, so that the activities of different groups of residents do not interfere with one another.

Sheryl Thompson commented, ""We decided to revamp our homes to reflect our passion and dedication to offer the 'Gold Standard' in Senior Memory Care. We enhance the family style dining facilities, made changes to recipes to bring more variety in the foods served to the residents, and increased the individual and group activities to help the seniors relax and improve their mental faculties. We have initiated fresh programs to enlist the complete support and participation of the family members of the residents. We have increased the staff strength to improve staff to resident's ratio."
