Anand Bhatt Song Achieves Triple Platinum Status

Anand Bhatt Presented with Multi-Platinum Award for Earning High Record Sales

The sales figures are in for Anand Bhatt and he is set to celebrate. This week the Grammy recognized rock star, and author of the book ROCK STAR RECIPES, received notice that he will receive the coveted Triple Platinum award for music sales in Sweden. In other words, sales of the record have hit Triple Platinum Status. The single is a track that is a bit of an homage to Lady Gaga in rock form. "The reason I dedicated the track to her is because we were at an event where she wore a crazy shiny bird outfit, and that image which burned itself into my brain was on my mind as I was writing the song," says Bhatt.

Bhatt's european sales success also show that he has gone platinum in Norway, gold in Spain, and short time he will achieve platinum status in Finland. Hitting the gold mark in Spain is especially joyful for Bhatt who hopes to have high sales in other Latin territories as well thanks to his recognition and induction as a voting member for Latin Grammys this year. He is the first Indian-American to be inducted into the Latin Grammys. Anand Bhatt is also one of the first Indian-Americans in general to break into success in the mainstream music industry (An honor shared by only a few; such as pioneers Tony Kanal from No Doubt, Kim Thayil from Soundgarden, Jay Sean and M.I.A.).

Despite the recording industry's relentless announcements that music sales have been slow, times have been exceptionally successful for Anand. He has been landing movie and television appearances as well as several endorsements for a myriad of products from airlines to hot sauce, and has recently announced an endorsement relationship with U.S. Music Corp's Washburn and Parker Guitars. According to IMDB, Anand Bhatt, born in Chicago, is one of the hottest rock & on-screen celebrities to be recognized worldwide. As a major rock star & TV/Movie personality, Anand Bhatt has been seen and honored just about everywhere. Aside from Bhatt's great movie & TV roles, talk-show appearances and nerve sparking hosting gigs, Bhatt is known for his GRAMMY recognized music as both a solo artist and as frontman for celebrated heavy rock group Anand Clique. He has appeared everywhere from E! & Vh1 to Rolling Stone & CNN.

In 2010 Anand made the Desh Videsh list and has been named one of the most successful Non-Resident Indians alongside M. Night Shyamalan and Deepak Chopra.

Anand Bhatt got his start to fame at a young age thanks to collaborations with Billboard top ten rock group Faith No More and has received many celebrity testimonials. After years of witnessing unhealthy lifestyle practices on the road and in the studio, he also rose to the challenge of creating and discovering healthy alternatives for the busy & adrenaline-worn and published those in his book "Rock Star Recipes."

Bhatt's charity efforts have provided enormous amounts of funding and relief for animal rescue, education for disadvantaged children and teen rehabilitation. Much more can be learned from his Facebook Fan Page.

Anand Bhatt is predicted to receive similar awards for other singles as well.
