Altus Dynamics Welcomes New Alberta Social Services Customer With The Addition Of The Robin Hood Association

ERP & CRM solutions provider Altus Dynamics announced today that The Robin Hood Association is to implement their Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and Portals' social services software suite, to provide improved services to Alberta communities

The Robin Hood Association is an agency based organization providing support services for children and adults with disabilities, their families and the wider community. In order to improve the services and support they provide across multiple communities in Alberta, they realised the need for better back office and support software to enhance the operations of the Association. They began searching for a suitable ERP system to meet their needs and an experienced solutions partner to implement it and eventually selected Altus Dynamics.

"When we discussed the needs of Robin Hood it became apparent they faced many of the similar challenges other clients we have in the supported living space have faced in the past." comments Altus Dynamics Founding Partner, Nicola Dickinson. "Multiple separate solutions and systems, often not able to integrate and share data. Add to that significant manual processing of this data outside of the system, and we could see a great opportunity to improve how they operated" adds Dickinson. Currently Robin Hood use ACCPAC to run their accounting and payroll, paper timesheets to record staff hours and a Microsoft Access database to manage their Human Resource Information System.

What they can look forward to once their Altus Dynamics solution is fully implemented is a system that enables them to capture time from over 400 staff, account for multiple positions and successfully process payroll. Currently, they are processing up to 600 physical timesheets a month, creating significant inefficiencies as they process this through disparate systems. With the use of a single solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, to manage all of their finance, HR and payroll functions, coupled with Altus Employee Portals (AEP) to handle a range of entry tasks such as time entry and expenses, their existing disparate systems will be replaced by a fully integrated system. "Payroll processing will be vastly improved. The online Altus Employee Self Service Portals will eliminate the old paper timesheets and allow staff to input their hours directly into the ERP system, feeding the payroll. Financial reporting was also a high priority for them and they'll now be able to generate reports in real-time, based on live up-to-the-minute data using the NAV reporting function or Jet Reports," says James Faw, Chief Technology Officer at Altus Dynamics.

Once live The Robin Hood Association will have 7 full Dynamics NAV users, and the capacity to have 500 employees accessing the system via AEP's. They will join other Altus Dynamics customers including Accredited Supported Living Services, EnVision Community Living, Community Living South Muskoka and Delta Community Living on the Altus Dynamics ERP solution for social services.
