Agile Designer™ for HP ALM QC Delivers Modern Applications Faster

Agile Designer now fully integrates with HP ALM, allowing users to de-duplicate test cases, improve testing and save money on project cost

HP's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) software is widely used amongst organizations developing applications all over the world, however test flow management inefficiencies can impact hugely on project costs and time.

"Clients have told us that issues such as making a small change to requirements can delay a project by weeks," said Huw Price, Managing Director of Agile Designer™ and Grid-Tools, "it should be quick and simple, but testers have to go through every single test case and find that the cases still do not provide maximum coverage."

Resolving this bottleneck was one of the driving factors behind the development of Agile Designer™.

Now the software is integrated with HP ALM, it allows users to import and convert test cases into clear visual logic flows. It also automatically detects changes to the requirements and identifies any broken tests.

Users can then repair, delete or ignore the broken or duplicated test - a process that takes minutes rather than days. "Users say they can now respond to changing requirements within an Agile environment," explains Anthea Whelan, Project Manager at Agile Designer.

"Not only areteams able to ensure maximum coverage in the minimum set of test cases, they are finding that the test cycle is shortened by over 30%."

Arno Van De Velde,Senior Quality Analyst at SYSQA,uses Agile Designer™ and comments: "The product is intuitive, easy to use and it gives an understandable visual representation of difficult problems. It is amazing to see how quickly it optimizes etesting efforts."
