A P B Security Systems Moves to New Location at the TELEPORT Joined by Statewide Central Station and Statewide Fire Corp. Tripling of space was needed to accommodate the growth of all companies. Almost since its initial formation in 1977, APB Secur

The firm's move is necessitated by growth, which owner and President, Steven J. Coppola Sr., attributes to: the firm's loyal clients (who often refer others to the firm), the dedication and effort of the firm's long-term staff members, the fact that over a dozen local alarm businesses chose APB Security Systems to take over their clients upon retirement, or when they sought a change and chose to join APB's security team.

"We are also pleased to announce that APB has not made the move alone," continued Coppola. Steven Coppola's son, Steven, and his daughter, Pamela, have also chosen to move their individual firms into the spacious 9,000 square foot facility.

Steven Jr. is President of Statewide Central Station (a wholesale monitoring firm with dealers like APB Security Systems spread out across the country) and Steve's daughter, the now Pamela Columbia, along with partner Ed Keschecki, head up Statewide Fire Corp (a wholesale FDNY approved monitoring facility which primarily monitors large commercial fire alarm systems). Both these companies resided at the prior Victory Boulevard location with APB Security.

The firm's new office space has actually tripled in size from the area it occupied on Victory Boulevard, and the new space with its modern black and white dйcor, exterior glass walls, and "new car smell" will provide room for even more growth.

"Heightened security, room to expand, a new custom designed state of the art facility and beautiful surroundings," said Steven Jr. of Statewide Central Station, made the investment well worth-while.

"While rapid growth made this move necessary, we are poised and have planned for future growth, while constantly seeking improvements in our level of service to our dealers and their clients," said Pamela Coppola-Columbia, President of Statewide Fire Corporation ,in commenting on the move.

"A significant feature of this new space is that it has greatly enhanced the firm's capability to provide uninterrupted service in almost any situation," said Steven Jr.

Both the power and phone lines at the 100-acre corporate park location are underground, there are two 150kw generators at the premises, as well as multiple high-speed dedicated internet lines for redundancy, in addition to the two off-premise back up locations, including one in the mid-west.

Not only has this move provided much-needed additional space, the configuration of the new offices are much more conducive to inter-office communication, teamwork, and the staff's quest for excellence. In their previous office space, the firm was spread out in all parts of the building, including on two separate floors.

And, while growth is always good, the Meiers Corners Staten Island, New York location is home to many memories for Steve Sr., his family, and his staff members. Steve's Dad, the late Michael Coppola, owned the building at one time, and housed several businesses of his own within its walls. Some of Steve's fondest memories are of sharing part of each workday with his Dad who passed away in January of 1995.

And Steve's partner and lifelong friend from his days in the NYPD (back in the early seventies!), John Gaspar, shared office space with the firm for years before retiring to Florida.

"Despite its growth, APB is one of few firms these days where a client with a problem or with a compliment can actually easily reach the owner of the firm on the phone and expect prompt attention to whatever the problem might be, or special thanks from the owner and staff members for the client's compliment…and, I plan to keep it that way, " said Steven Coppola Sr.
