A New Classic for Urban Fantasy Readers

The "Shadowdance" is a secret struggle between supernatural creatures for control of the nine shards of Vyntari. He who possesses the nine shards may summon the destructive Shadow god Yahweh. Shadowdance: Invitation to the Dance introduces readers to Adriana Dupre, a vampire and an assassin. She's out for revenge against the female vampire assassin cult, the Daughters of Lilith, which duped her into killing her werewolf ancestors and turning her younger, chaste sister into a vampire assassin.

Dark sorcerer Dwyer Strathan offers Adriana information about her sister if she finds for him the desired, unattainable ancient artifacts - three of the Vyntari shards. Adriana realizes that her quest for revenge will only lead to her destruction. The Knights of Vyntari offer another path -- one towards redemption and atoning for her past reprehensible sins.

Adrianna is torn between the life forced upon her with the shard quest and the non-killing, peaceful one she secretly desires.
