54 GLA University Students Get Job Offers from Wipro Technologies
The establishment of GLA Institute of Technology and Management (GLAITM) in the year 1998 was the first recognized initiative by the society to fulfill its responsibility of providing destinations of quality professional education.
Online, December 13, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Defying economic slowdown and prevalent gloomy employment atmosphere 54 students from the 2013 batch of Institute of Engineering & Technology, GLA University Mathura have been hired by Indian IT major Wipro. These students were shortlisted through 3 tough rounds of selection process at Mathura campus. These placements are a source of inspiration to all the other aspirants.
"It started slowly in the end of October. But, recruitment is picking up. This year, the trend is much better than last year" said a source from the GLA University Mathura. Campus placements are seen to be picking up in other leading engineering colleges too. Placement heads and students say things are looking better into the season.
Wipro initiates a series of key interventions which target students, faculty, training cells, institutes and leaders. This is implemented at each of the colleges with which Wipro signs a Memorandum of Understanding. In India Wipro hires Engineering Graduates/Post-Graduates for technical positions and Science Graduates for its WASE & WIMS programme. They also hire Diploma Graduates for special program such as TISA & SIM. Most of this hiring is done in the penultimate or final year of studies. Their curriculum and training thus provided are crafted specifically to suit the best.
