World Cup, Olympic Gold Medalist Pat Powers Brings National Volleyball Clinic to Louisville, Kentucky

Bringing over 20 years of experience, Olympic Gold Medalist Pat Powers brings his national volleyball clinics,, to Louisville at Hoops in the East End.

Hoops, the premiere 90,000 sq. ft. basketball and volleyball facility in Louisville, Kentucky welcomes World Cup and Olympic Gold Medalist Pat Powers for a two day volleyball clinic on November 6th and 7th, 2013. This will be the first time the eleven time All American volleyball player and coach will visit Louisville and host his national in a city that is well versed in not only basketball, but also volleyball. With three major volleyball clubs in the area, MAVA, KIVA and Union, Powers looks to bring a good group of players to his clinics, with hopes of making Louisville a staple visit in his national stops. Currently, Powers camps reaches out to both coasts, taking him from California to Florida.

Powers clinic emphasizes several skills to make a better volleyball player, including how to put a spin on the ball, anticipation on the court, playing defense behind the block and much more. Something that could be one of the most important things he teaches is the basic fundamentals of communication on the floor. With over twenty years of experience in the highest level, Powers is considered one of the top volleyball coaches in the country.
