Raises Bar for Fitness of all its employees and pledges to fight against child labour
May 8, 2014 (Newswire) - In its endeavor to enhance efficiency of all its employees, workers and community, the management and employees at various establishments of V.V. Mineral (VVM) observed 'May Day' ' on Thursday, 1st May . The company organised a cricket tournament near its establishment, VV Titanium Pigments at NPR ground, Siva Nagar, Meelavittan Road, Tuticorin district in which four teams of VVTi employees namely Titanium, Hafnium, Zirconium & Rutherfodium participated. The sporting event was well attended by local audiences from nearby areas especially school children who gathered in large numbers to witness the cricket match. Rutherfodium won the final match played between Hafnium & Rutherfodium.
To mark the May Day celebrations, VV Mineral organised a function after the Final cricket match at their factory premises. Mr. M Palanisamy, AGM, P&M in his welcome address appreciated the efforts put up by employees and workers at VVM. The Chief Guest Mr. Appavu Samraj, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Tuticorin distributed prizes to the Winners, Runners -Up, Man of Match and Man of the Series. (Names to be included) He also distributed prizes and certificates to select employees who exhibited extraordinary grit at workplace and for accomplishing highest productivity at work.
