Vintage Senior Living Takes Big Steps in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's"

United in a national movement to reclaim the future for millions

Vintage Senior Living announced today that its family of retirement communities is playing an active role in the Alzheimer's Association's "Walk To End Alzheimer's" taking place September through November. Besides being an official sponsor of the walks in Orange County, Los Angeles, Monterey/Salinas, Tacoma and the San Francisco / Bay Area, Vintage Senior Living's staff and residents, as well as friends and family members have set a goal to raise $10,000 from their own creative fundraisers from casino nights to brunches. The Vintage Senior Living's corporate team will also participate in the Alzheimer's Association's Huntington Beach walk on November 5, 2011.

"We are proud to stand with the Alzheimer's Association, which diligently serves our communities," said Deanna Cason, Vice President, Vintage Senior Living. "Together, we are working to ensure individuals with Alzheimer's receive the dignity, comfort and care they need, as well as providing hope and peace of mind to their families."

Vintage Senior Living offers its Memory Care services for the growing number of families experiencing the challenges of caring for their family member with Alzheimer's. According to the 2011 Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures, the number of people aged 65 and older with Alzheimer's disease is estimated to reach 7.7 million by 2030 - a 50 percent increase from the 5.2 million aged 65 and older currently affected.
