Value Partner Drives NoMachine Technology Adoption at Virtualization Forum 2010

NoMachine NX is a fundamental component for providing cross-platform access to virtualized desktop infrastructures (VDI) in organizations in Australia and New Zealand.

NoMachine, leading provider of cross-platform enterprise-class solutions for secure remote access and hosted desktop deployment, announced today that its ANZ Value Partner, Custom Technology, recently completed the successful promotion of NoMachine at the VMware Virtualization Forum 2010 in Sydney, Australia.

vForum 2010 in Sydney had a record-breaking 5,200 attendees from the IT community of Australia and New Zealand, including 73 of the region's leading technology vendors and cloud service providers. It was an excellent opportunity for organisations to learn about the latest virtualization technologies and cloud computing strategies to support their transition to delivering IT as a virtualized service.

Custom Technology's stand at vForum presented NoMachine NX Server together with their comprehensive range of best of breed cross-platform solutions all supporting the VMware hypervisor.

"vForum attendees were looking for ways to get the most out of their existing and planned virtualized infrastructure, both Linux and proprietary," said Custom Technology Managing Director, Gordon Hubbard. "For those deploying hosted Linux-based applications in a VDI environment NoMachine is the ideal, proven solution today to efficiently deliver a virtualized infrastructure. Particular interest was shown from attendees for a Windows and Mac NX Server solution which would allow them to standardize on NoMachine for all their deployments."

"Organizations adopting mixed-platform VDI environments are struggling to find a unique and cost-effective solution that delivers virtualized applications and desktop environments to their dispersed users and wide-spread offices from central locations over any network. With NX 4.0 on the horizon, which will introduce server-side support for Windows and Mac, administrators of those hybrid VDI infrastructures will finally be able to use a common virtual desktop access tool," said the Business Development Manager for NoMachine.

NoMachine has established itself as a trusted name in the provision of application delivery and remote desktops as well as a key enabler of migration to the Linux platform in enterprises of all sizes. In Australia and New Zealand alone, NoMachine has installations implemented throughout numerous industry sectors including ICT, Retail and Manufacturing, Transport, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Utilities, Education and Government.

Custom Technology has partnered with NoMachine since 2005 and was recently appointed a Value Partner in recognition of their commitment to successful IT solutions with NX. As a value added distributor, CustomTech has implemented extensive NX installations throughout the region successfully enabling the widespread adoption of the NoMachine NX brand.
