Tuppence Magazine, the home of alternative entertainment news and reviews, is celebrating its third year online this month. Year three has seen a huge amount of change as the website has evolved to improve the look and feel of the site, while at the same time, future proofing the technology that sits behind it. The ten core sections of the site - Music, Film, Television and Radio, Books, Computer Games, Stage, Art, Food and Drink, Politics and Fashion - have grown to deliver even more of a fresh approach to entertainment news; one that isn't constrained by mainstream fluff.
The website (http://tuppencemagazine.co.uk/entertainment-news/) was originally launched on the 14th November 2009, and it all started with just a glimmer of hope, two bags of kali and a perpetual supply of Yorkshire tea. The entertainment news and reviews posts are closing in on being up to 1,000, with the site covering 2,142 pages indexed in Google.
However the big news is that the online magazine has successfully completed a full system transfer from Apple's no longer supported iWeb to a more robust, future proof interface. This means that the site will continue to develop and grow as technologies advance, improving the user experience on the site and building the technical capabilities available.
The decision was made during the initial re-skin redesign that had started in year two, when it came to light that Apple would no longer be supporting its iWeb functionality. The move was frustratingly difficult, but after a lot of hard work the site is back to full speed growth and remains dedicated to delivering fresh and new high quality content for its readers.
The developers of the site are looking forward to a big year four with a fresh start and a site that is fully geared up to deliver a growing number of great visitors to the site.
