In an uneasy economy Las Vegas still reigns supreme in the world of trade shows and exhibitions.
January 29, 2013 (Newswire) - According to the Trade Show News Network Las Vegas is the top United States destination for trade shows and exhibitions. In 2010 Las Vegas hosted 60 of the 250 largest trade shows on the Trade Show News Network U.S. Trade Shows list. Despite the recent decline in trade show attendance due to the recession, Las Vegas played host to 60 shows that covered nearly 20.7 million square feet of space in a variety of convention centers.
Las Vegas was created to host events and the city dedicates itself to create and industry standard that welcomes all events and tradeshows. With a host of amenities, trade show exhibit builders and companies and local entertainment to keep guests entertained while they attend conventions it's easy to see why so many tradeshow and marketing professionals love Sin City.
Orlando and Chicago are two other cities that host a large number of trade shows, but Las Vegas is also credited with hosting the largest trade shows in America which sets them apart from Orlando and Chicago when it comes to the amount and caliber of the conventions and shows that are hosted.
Despite the down economy the DEMA show hosted in Las Vegas in November of 2012 posted incredibly strong numbers and had a great turnout for attendees and exhibitors. DEMA saw a 30% increase in preregistration numbers compared to 2011 and over 640 vendors and exhibitors participated in the three day show.
Local Las Vegas trade show company Xpert Exposition Services anticipates that 2013 will continue to be a big year for Las Vegas and the trade show industry. With several upcoming shows around the bend, time will tell if trade shows continue to gain momentum in today's economic climate.
