The Metro Joins The Hunt For Santa With Ted Burns

Ted Burns, the host of Third Degree, is searching for Santa, also known as the Yuletide Yobbo. And now he's got the support of the Metro, the UK's leading free newspaper.

My name is Ted Burns, the host of Third Degree. I've been voted the UK's best investigative journalist for five years in a row. By me. And I'm looking for Father Christmas, who is now known to exactly 213% of people across Middle England as the Yuletide Yobbo. Or the Advent Anarchist. Or the December Deviant. Whatever.

All you need to know is this: it's not good whichever way you look at it. And if you try not to look at it, that's even worse. This is a man who will happily see his reindeer get mange, run up huge unpaid parking fines and deploy elves as substitute cricket bats. You don't want your eyes closed when he's around.

But we've got a powerful new ally on our side: the Metro, that venerable British newspaper. You've probably seen it on the Tube a couple of times. Maybe in the occasional blue-and-white metallic container at appropriate underground and mainline stations. Perhaps at the occasional high-profile event in glamorous old London town. It's got an interweb site and everything.

And by visiting that self-same onlininet portal via the link below, you can find out how the Metro is bringing our campaign to stop Santa, the Sage & Onion Sociopath, to the attention of the Great British public:

We've only got three days to go before Jingle Bell Judgement Day, so join our campaign and send in your tips/sightings via any or all of the social notwerking tools below. Or try an old-fashioned email. Even I know what that is. I think. It's the one with the stamps, right?

Now go spread the word: Santa's a sinner, and he's got to go before December 25th. Or else.

About Keen City

Keen City's name is derived from a verse in the poem The Moon's A Balloon by E.E. Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you're on the Tube. Nasty business.

The company's first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year's Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant's Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City's first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned.
