Retail Giants Partner for the Sexiest Plus Size Fashion Show in Las Vegas
Online, October 6, 2010 (Newswire.com) - THE CURVY REVOLUTION FASHION FINALE - Retail Giants Partner for the Sexiest Plus Size Fashion Show- The Curvy Revolution (TCR), the nation's largest plus size empowerment experience sponsored by Lane Bryant and City Chic, announces details for their closing event, the Fashion Finale. TCR's Fashion Finale will take place on February 20, 2011 in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The Curvy Revolution's Fashion Finale is an explosive fashion experience showcasing curvy models in a Fashion Week-style show. Celebrity stylist Charles Wade, who's work has been seen in VIBE, VIBE Vixen, and HONEY magazines and on MTV and BET, will produce and fashion direct this watershed event.
The Fashion Finale will feature the latest from plus size retail giants Lane Bryant and City Chic, Australia's largest plus size retailer, as well as looks from independent designers and one-of-a-kind creations from straight size fashion designers. The show will include City Chic's Australian models and Lane Bryant supermodels Ashley Graham, Lizzie Miller, Tonya Giddons, and more in a special Cacique Lingerie segment.
Earlier this year, a commercial for Lane Bryant's Cacique Intimates with plus size supermodel Ashley Graham faced opposition by both ABC and FOX networks. The networks excessive red tape generated a firestorm of controversy and in turn support for full-figured women across all media channels. The controversy sent bloggers into overdrive, expressing outrage over the networks' refusal to broadcast the original commercial with the general sentiment that the advertisement was tame in comparison to other lingerie brand ads shown during primetime programming.
After such a media frenzy, Lane Bryant will break new ground at the Curvy Revolution's Fashion Finale with a major Cacique Intimates fashion segment- the first Cacique Intimates fashion event in over 10 years since its launch.
