January 13, 2012 (Newswire) - The Activist Eyewear and Alfred Julius Bowtie & Handkerchief collection is now available for purchase exclusively at Tina Catherine Eyewear & Opticians Boutique, and online at http://www.ActivistEyewear.co. The collaboration features a hunter green bowtie and matching microfiber handkerchief box set..
The Bowtie is constructed using genuine nylon ripstop to withstand tearing and harsh conditions and adorned with a decorative rivet in antique bronze.
The Microfiber Handkerchief is tailored from heavyweight microfiber so it's right at home in your breast pocket and perfect for cleaning lenses on your Activist sunglasses. Both materials are extremely quick drying.
The matching Bowtie & Handkerchief Set is packaged in a waxed canvas carrying case with a recycled paper band that includes a brief description of the collaboration and a unique hand stamped serial number. Produced in an extremely limited edition of 50 pieces worldwide.
The collaboration marked the first release for Alfred Julius. "It was truly a dream come true for the Alfred Julius team; To finally have the opportunity to present the quality and personality of the Alfred Julius lifestyle, for all to absorb. Matching with Acvtivist Eyewear was a very organic and positive experience. Hopefully this is only the beginning for our collaborative efforts," says Alfred Julius Creative Director, Chike Atu.
And while Activist has shown world-wide at various trade shows, this was their first collaboration with another designer. "I'm thrilled with the results of the collaboration & the launch event," says Activist Creative Director, Mark Craig. "The core of the Activist brand is about using creativity as a force for change and a platform to promote exciting, forward-thinking products. The Bowtie + Handkerchief set is a great continuation of this story by melding classic style with high performance in innovative ways." "In addition to the design collaboration, we were also extremely pleased to have Tina Catherine be the sole retail location to carry the bow tie set," adds Activist Business Director, Anthony Codispoti. "Their attention to detail in their retail space and highly curated product assortment is a natural fit for us."
The collaborative set is now available exclusively on ActivistEyewear.com, as well as in New York City at Tina Catherine Eyewear & Opticians Boutique, where Activist Eyewear's full collection is now also being carried.
