Soulfunny Entertainment, LLC Announces their "Comedy for Cause" event to benefit Handy, Inc. Charity

Feb 26, 2010 - Soulfunny Entertainment, LLC announces the arrival of the Soulfunny "Comedy for Cause" Tour to Hollywood, FL. Everyone in the South FL area is invited to attend for an evening of laughter and live entertainment for the benefit of a great cause. The Soulfunny comedy show is unique because its target market is individuals looking for clean entertainment. Parents can enjoy the Soulfunny comedy show with their kids, while groups of adult friends can get together to enjoy the event as well. The Soulfunny comedy show is an hour and a half long production that features four Comedians as well as high energy musical and mime dance performances, to give the Soulfunny show a mixture of live entertainment and laughter for the soul.

The Soulfunny comedy tour includes heavy hitter Christian Comedians from all around the country whose performance accolades include Comedy Central, BET's ComicView, Bishop T.D. Jakes' MegaFest, Essence Music Festival, Showtime at the Apollo, TV One's Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes and BET's newly created Christian comedy show, A Time to Laugh.

Soulfunny Entertainment, LLC has recently committed to donating a portion of their proceeds from the event to HANDY, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children of Broward County who are abused, neglected and abandoned and have been removed from their homes and placed either in foster care, or with relative and non-relative caregivers under court protection. Soulfunny will also put on a workshop to teach HANDY's youth about the comedy profession and the performing arts. "We look forward to partnering with Soulfunny in their South Florida premier," says Arlene Ratner, Executive Director of HANDY, Inc., "our youth are grateful for the support of Soulfunny and excited to enjoy the performances of their comedians." A souvenir book will be sold featuring ads from local businesses and individuals and a portion of the proceeds from the ad sales will go to this cause. There will also be a representative from HANDY attending the event to share information about their organization, accept donations and sign up volunteers.

Tickets will be available online at www.soulfunny.com. Ticket price is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Doors will open at 7pm with art from local artist, Kapone (www.kaponeisill.com) being displayed in a lounge type atmosphere with food and neo-gospel soul singer Jennifer.S.Clarke on piano. The show will begin promptly at 8pm.
