Online, July 9, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Sonorous Entertainment is beginning its Harvest Gospel Series with a September 17th album release by gospel legends The Five Blind Boys of Alabama. The group has come a long a way since their humble formation as a small glee club in 1939. Originally led by Clarence Fountain, the Happy Land Jubilee Singers, as they were then known, became the Five Blind Boys of Alabama in 1948. In 1949, they received their first hit with "I Can See Everybody's Mother, But I Can't See Mine", and the hits have continued throughout their 70-plus year career. Although the members may have changed along the way, their goal to spiritually uplift audiences has remained. They have earned their positions as legends in gospel music as is reflected in their numerous musical honors and awards, including their 2009 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. This 12 track album release includes such classics as "Alone and Motherless", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "I Can See Everybody's Mother". All of the tracks have been transferred and digitally re-mastered from their original recordings.
"Harvest Gospel: Five Blind Boys of Alabama" will be available in all participating retail and online outlets September 17th, 2013.
