ShopLocal.US Announces Small Indie Business Grant Program for Local South BAY Businesses.
Grants will be awarded to the top three qualifying independently owned South Bay based businesses.
Online, June 3, 2013 (Newswire.com) - ----- ShopLocal.us is proud to announce its first annual Small Indie Business Grant program. The organization is providing this opportunity to help small business owners in the South Bay of Los Angeles grow or maintain their business. Grant amounts will be awarded to the top three qualifying businesses. A $1,000 grant award will be given to the finalist, a $500 award to the second runner up and a $250 award to the third runner up. Businesses must be independently owned and based in the South Bay.
"With recent reports of a slowdown in consumer spending last month, we're looking to give a little boost to local businesses. This grant program is our way of giving back by recognizing outstanding businesses in the South Bay," stated Heidi Butzine, founder of ShopLocal.us. "Because of this, we feel there is an unprecedented opportunity for local businesses to benefit from being part of this newsworthy event which we expect will gain interest throughout the South Bay community and from local media."
Applications for the Small Indie Business Grant Program will be accepted beginning June 2013. Grant awards will be presented to winners in October 2013.
