Second anniversary of To Be Productive blog celebrates knowledge sharing

Business want increased productivity for less time and money. The "To Be Productive" blog at http://2bproductive.blogspot.com/ is celebrating 2 years of posts that aid professionals with their growth. Offers a comment contest to giveaway books.

Even though the economy may be improving, businesses still prefer doing more with less in a way that continues to increase productivity. Success will always demand flexibility and knowledge expansion for professionals. To aid business people in growing both professionally and personally productive, a new business blog was created in April 2008. The "To Be Productive" blog at http://2bproductive.blogspot.com/ celebrates a second anniversary with over 135 total posts on multiple topics from 15 consultants in various areas.

This blog is a way for business professionals to share ideas, tips, suggestions, inspirations, and expertise with others who want to become more effective and productive both personally and professionally. Topics on the blog have included: employee attitude, change management, communication, customer service, handling expectations, goal setting, leadership issues, motivation, quality excellence, handling stress, team building, time management, training, and business travel.

To mark the blog anniversary, the local consultants and bloggers are planning to promote a Constructive Comments Contest to increase the great ideas, tips, suggestions, inspirations, and expertise sharing as extensions of their posts. The blog was designed to help others who want to become more effective and productive both personally and professionally. The contest starts now and will run until all prizes are given out or for 2 months. A blog moderator will check for new comments added each week to any of the existing business-related posts to determine if any qualify for the contest. The contributor who seems to have provided the most helpful comments to expand on the post topic will be awarded a business or leadership book as a prize. Contest rules are available from a link in the top corner of the blog site.

The blog will continue to offer different ideas and perspectives from business consultants, trainers, and other guest writers. Consultants who post regularly on the blog include: Deborah Avrin (author of "The Management Map: Navigation Tools for the New Manager"), George Hendley, Shirley Fine Lee (author or "R.A!R.A! A Meeting Wizard's Approach", and Daryl Thomas. New contributors in the past year have included: Monica Cornetti, Mary Jo Huard, and Diane Musha.

Although the home page of the blog gets the most hits, many post titles have been found through search engines and other sources. The most viewed individual posts the past year were "Setting Smart Goals", "Give Thanks to Employees," and "Looking For an Example of Great Customer Service?."

The blog also has many global readers, but most of the blog readers are from North America. The contest will only be open to residents of the United States. When business professionals across the globe need ideas for personal or professional growth, they should visit the "To Be Productive" blog at http://2bproductive.blogspot.com/ to check for new options.
